Leicester City shocked

Grant McCann’s late strike halted Leicester City’s winning streak yesterday as the automatic promotion chasers were beaten 2-1 by bottom-of-the-table Peterborough at London Road.

Leicester looked like making it six straight victories when Ben Marshall put them in front at the start of the second half.

But Peterborough, unbeaten in their last five home league matches after this result, hit back through Davide Petrucci’s superb strike before McCann completed the turnaround two minutes from time.

Elsewhere, leaders Cardiff City dropped points for only the second time in eight league games as managerless Huddersfield battled for a deserved and hard-fought point in a 0-0 draw at the John Smith’s Stadium.
