Pictures of the week: Politics with (almost) everything

Politics almost dominated all activity in Malta over the past week, the period being kicked off with Anglu Farrugia's explosive comments in a Sunday Times interview.

Gianluca Bezzina's triumph at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest put some people's minds off the general election, however.

A young worker was lucky to escape serious injury when marble slabs fell on him at Mosta early in the week.

The Malta team rounded off the week in style with a draw against N. Ireland in a friendly international.
