Labour has not yet learnt that politics should be built on the truth, PN deputy leader Simon Busuttil said.

Last elections the PL had said that a PN government would mean the end of free healthcare. Time proved this was a lie.

The PL electoral programme put Malta's finances at risk. If there was a risk of no longer having free healthcare, this was under the Labour Party.

The PN had a vision and clear direction while the PL did know where it was heading and was not built on values.

The past few days showed that the PL had problems with its value system, he said referring to the recent interview with Anglu Farrugia and the issue surrounding the GWU.

He said the PL now  pretended to be Nationalist and even tried to copy the electoral programme. But where was the true Labour?

"Between the true and fake you must choose the original... The original is the Nationalist party where you know where you stand. Only the original comes with a guarantee, fakes don't," he said.

Nationalist Party deputy leader Simon Busuttil was speaking during a Nationalist Party activity in Luqa.

He spoke after candidates contesting in the Luqa district shared a few thoughts with people gathered there. These included Antoine Borg, Ryan Callus, Therese Comodini Cachia, Albert Fenech, Caroline Galea, Peter Micallef, Philip Mifsud and Clyde Puli.

Event host Lisa Libreri reminded viewers watching the televised event about the PN fundraising marathon to be held at the party headquarters tomorrow.
