The Nationalist Party’s electoral programme will be delivered to all households in Malta and Gozo, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said during a party activity in San Gwann this evening.

He urged people to read it as, that way, they will realise that voting PN will mean a secure future.

“We are being honest with people… we gave you the programme,” he said adding that his party also published the costings that showed that the programme was deliverable within five years.

“Since I’ve been in politics this is one of the best programmes that the party ever wrote… if you condense it, it boils down to a statement what we believe in this country,” he said.

The programme is on the PN’s website and will now be delivered to people’s homes in Malta and Gozo, he said On a similar note PN deputy leader Simon Busuttil who is also contesting in San Gwann, the ninth district, said that one of the biggest obstacles that the PN faced was the idea that the PN has been in Government for too long.

But people knew that the Nationalist Government did a lot of good things, even through if  made mistakes which it tried to solve.

“We need to persuade people that we deserve their trust because we delivered results which we are proud of,” he said. However, the PN is asking people to vote PN on March 9, not for the secure past and present, but for the secure future which is guaranteed in this electoral programme.

“Unfortunately, it cannot be compared to the PL electoral programme because this does not yet exist,” he said.

He urged people to read the PN programme that will be sent to all households.

“I have no doubt that, when people compare this to the nothingness of the PL, the population will chose the best way forward,” he said.
