BARTOLO. On January 30, at his residence, SPIRO of Mellieħa, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Ġiorġina, née Cutajar, his children Mario, Victoria and Carmen and her husband Anton, his grandchildren Godwin and Annett and her husband Clive, his great-grandchildren Adriana and Caroline, his brothers and sisters, their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on February 2 at 1.15pm for St Anne Street from where the cortège will be accompanied by the La Vittoria Band to Maria Bambina parish church, Mellieħa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at the Queen of Victories Cemetery, Mellieħa. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GRECH. On January 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr RENO GRECH, SJ, aged 69, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta, his sisters Grace, widow of John Grima, Emmie, wife of Santu Barun and Sylvia, wife of Anthony Busuttil, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and former students of St Aloysius’ College. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 3.30pm at Mosta parish church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery in Naxxar. No flowers by request but donations to the Jesuit Province Infirmary at Loyola House, Naxxar, will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

WARRINGTON. On January 30, JOSEPH, aged 70, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Vera, née Sultana, his daughters Karen and Nadine, his mother-in-law Dolores Sultana, his brother’s widow Franca, his brothers-in-law Donald, Henry and his wife M’Louise, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for Kristu Rxoxt parish church, Pembroke, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.15pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Sisters of Santa Clara Monastery, ‘Nazaret’, St Dominic Street, Victoria, Gozo. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Registered voters

The Electoral Commission has urged those eligible to register as voters to verify that their particulars have been included in the revised electoral register published on January 12.

People who obtained Maltese citizenship through naturalisation or registration, and certified dual nationals, are entitled to be registered as voters if they satisfied the requirements by January 7.

Any person whose name has not been included in this register, or whose particulars are incorrect, can appeal to the revising officer until 3pm on February 4.
