Voters are finding it difficult to book flights to Malta for the March 9 election, AD spokesman for EU and international affairs, Arnold Cassola said.
He said in a statement that reports reached Alternattiva Demokratika that flights from Brussels and London seemed to be the most problematic.
“It would seem the PN and the PL have pre-booked seats on the national airline for their supporters, thus making it difficult for those voters who do not want to identify with any political party to come to Malta.”
“AD strongly deplores the fact that the Electoral Commissioner has asked the political parties to nominate an employee of Air Malta of their trust to oversee the applications of each respective political party voters.
“AD has refused to avail itself of this offer since we believe that Air Malta employees are paid to work for their company and not for the benefit of PN and PL,” Prof. Cassola said.
