I wish to make two comments on Anne Marie Mangion’s article on guardianship (January 25).

One, the law refers to adults, that is people who are 18 years old and over, and not to children. In very specific instances, people between 17 and 18 years can be subject to a guardianship order.

Two, guardians are accountable to the Guardianship Board and have to report to it at least once evey two years.
