Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this morning that pledges made by the PN government and not fulfilled in this legislature would be carried over to the new one, including legislation on cohabitation and the Whistleblower Act.

Joseph Muscat yesterday criticised the PN for not including the Whistleblower Act in its electoral programme.

Speaking in a Radio 101 interview this morning, Dr Gonzi explained sections of the PN programme.

He said the PN wanted a secure future for the people based on sound public finances and further progress in education, health and job creation, among other sectors.

He defended the PN's commitments and said detailed costings would be published tomorrow. The PN would show that its proposals were not only sustainable, but they would contribute for further economic growth, he said.

He underlined the PN pledges on sick leave, free childcare and tablets to students, teachers and LSAs, saying it was crucial that young people used technology as a tool for learning from an early age.

He said the PN was also promising incentives for employers who engaged people with disabilities.
