The parents of a boy who was bullied at school a year and a half ago filed a judicial letter in court today, replying to another letter filed by the parents of one of the accused on Tuesday.

The victim had been slightly injured when he was tied to a football post with a scarf at Stella Maris College.  Four boys were charged and while three admitted their involvement, the fourth did not.

The parents of the fourth boy claimed in their letter that although the victim’s parents knew that their son was not involved and that there was no evidence against him, they did not want to drop the charges.

But in a letter they filed today, the victim’s parents denied allegations that they were ‘capriciously pursuing the case’.

They said that their son had insisted that the fourth boy had taken part in the bullying and this was backed up by witnesses.
