Valletta operatic surprise
Passers-by in Republic Street, Valletta, were in for an operatic surprise this afternoon when elements of the Combattimento consort Amsterdam presented short performances after a concert at the Manoel Theatre.
The ensemble, which specialises in music between 1600 and 1800, will present other concerts tomorrow and on Thursday at the Palace and the Jesuits' Church respectively as part of the Valletta Baroque Festival.
