have you ever been to Canada when it snows?! It might last a few days in UK (I don't know as I've never been there) but it certainly doesn't last a few days in Canada. If precautions are not taken, everything stops

It's two years since we had come serious snow, so as Terry Courtnadge says people are not willing to leave millions of Pounds' worth of equipment rusting in sheds. Canada has the snow every year, so it has to be catered for. Anyway kids love snow- keeps them from going to school!

Yes, I agree, that's my point - Canada etc. have to be prepared EVERY year without fail while UK doesn't because snow is not guaranteed, so why have expensively prepared plans in place that might not be needed.
