Iuris Malta has finalised a merger with established law firm Hugh Peralta and Associates.

The joint practice began operations on January 1 and will continue to be known as Iuris Malta but incorporate the entire resources, experience and goodwill generated over the years by Hugh Peralta and Associates.

The merger seeks to consolidate two equally-sized law firms to provide a better service to clients, both as to range and as to level of service. Iuris Malta and Hugh Peralta and Associates share similar philosophies, and goals which brought both firms together.

Thanks to this consolidation, bringing on board the resources, reputation and legal expertise offered by Hugh Peralta and Associates, Iuris Malta is now better positioned to assist its local and international clientele.

This merger complements another merger concluded earlier last year with the companies previously known as GSB Services Limited, GSB Management Limited and GSB Fiduciaries Limited, which today have been renamed Iuris Services Limited, Iuris Management Limited and Iuris Fiduciary Limited, and which all form part of the Iuris Malta set-up.

The legal complement now comprises Hugh Peralta as senior consultant, with Peter Fenech and Simon Galea Testaferrata as partners. Jeannine Giglio will be heading the corporate, financial and fiduciary services which Iuris Malta offers through its affiliate companies. Associates include lawyers Noella Grima Azzopardi, Sarah Galea, Rita Mifsud, Larry Gauci, Lena Sammut and Filippa Galea Testaferrata.

Iuris Malta offers a broad range of legal services which meet the highest professional standards. It will be concentrating on commercial law, primarily on corporate affairs, but will continue to assist clients in various other areas in which it is now well-established.

Areas include consumer affairs, employment and labour law, maritime affairs, family law, estate and inheritance planning, property and development law, administrative law human rights and intellectual property.

Among the services offered are assistance and representation in litigation (Commercial, Civil, Constitutional or Appeal Courts and other tribunals).

Iuris Malta continues to operate from its offices at 36, Archbishop Street, Valletta.
