A Bronx man died when he fell while defecating between moving subway cars in Manhattan, New York's Daily News reported.

The train had just left the E. 125th St. station on the Lexington Ave. line around 4:12 p.m. when the 31-year-old man fell and was crushed, said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne.

A short time afterwards, a bloodied and battered 50-year-old man was seen climbing out of the 4/5 express track bed across the platform.

The man, who was reeked of booze and was believed to be homeless, had a broken pelvis, a deep gash to his buttocks and a laceration on his legs, the police said. It was not immediately clear if he had been struck by a train. The bizarre incidents were unrelated.
