BUTTIGIEG. On January 11, RITA, of Gżira, aged 88, widow of Paul, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Twanny, Carmen, widow of Raymond Cocks, Josephine, Raymond, Marion, Patrick, Dorothy and Paul, her brother Joe Zammit and her sister Mary Agius and their families, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends.Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2pm at Mount Carmel parish church, Gżira, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CARUANA. On January 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, SAVIOUR PAUL, aged 69, passed away suddenly, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Lucienne née Engerer, his children Kevin and his wife Sylvana and Corinne and her husband Christian Trapani, his grandchildren Lara, Luca, Ryan, Alessio and Neil, Henry and his wife Laura, his brothers’ family, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for St Julian’s parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CIAPPARA. On January 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAULINE of Attard, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rights of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Paul and his wife Maria, Vivienne and her husband Francis, Joseph and his wife Lillian, Laurie and his wife Suzanne and their respective families. CILIA. On January 10, EMANUEL, former teacher of Mġarr, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lana, his sisters Janie and Sister Konċetta of Christ the Nazarene, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for St Mary’s parish church, Mġarr, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave and Mġarr cemetery. Donations to the Sisters of Christ the Nazarene, Birkirkara, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
LAPIRA. On January 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY née Camilleri, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her beloved family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss, so soon after her dear husband Joseph, her adored children Josette and her husband Mark Miceli Farrugia, Lionel and his wife Dorothy, Alec and his wife Enza, Aida and her husband John Tortell, her dear grandchildren Nicola, Matthew, Luke, Daniel, Jessica, Christina and Christopher, relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.45am at St Joseph parish church, Msida, followed by interment at St Andrew Cemetery, Żebbuġ. URSO. On January 10, at San Ġorġ Preca Home for the Elderly, Attard, JOSEPHINE, widow of Armando, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Arnaldo and his wife Marisa, Filiberto and his wife Anna, Adriana and her husband Mark Crocker, Marilu and her husband Wilfried Westphal, her beloved grandchildren Petra, Martina, Graham, Andrea, Justine and Andrew, her beloved brother and sisters in Malta and Canada, in-laws, nephew and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral was held yesterday.
