Agribank plc, a British-owned bank, is currently setting up business in Malta and will soon open its head office at Sky Parks Business Centre.

The bank, which only just obtained a credit institution licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority, recently made its first charitable donation.

CEO Roderick Psaila and CFO Paul Grech visited Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, on January 1 to present €1,000 to support the home’s invaluable work among people with special needs.

“We thank the organisers for giving us the opportunity to help others, an opportunity we could not let pass by, despite the fact that we are still not operative.

“We expect to be fully operative next month and will be focusing primarily on providing asset financing to rural businesses, such as farmers, village communities and green entrepreneurs,” Mr Psaila said.
