Just visited my beloved country some days ago oh my God!! Once I went in the wheel that ment be extra careful!! Some many without patience, so many want to overtake you, and than for what? Still won t gane anything as I still was reaching them at my speed I was doing. Put more enforcement and yes speeding cameras, if that s what it takes for drivers to learn.

This does not have to do with the above accident. Last Sat. at around 2.15am two Arriva bendy buses were driving at breakneck speed in Aldo Moro Str. Marsa. The Not in Service buses were overspeeding and racing against eachother. My daughter was driving and nearly got hit . It is a miracle she did not get hurt. Authorities please investigate.

I sold my motorcycle as I was fed up of endangering my life on a daily basis! Unfortunately bikers are not respected... not even cyclists... not to mention pedestrians! I now drive a car... and enjoy happily getting stuck in traffic... happily listening to the radio... not to mention the thrill of parking (always compared to when I used my motorcycle)

As a Motorcycle Instructor doing about 200km a day on Maltese roads I can tell you and in fact show you on several videos that car drivers are nasty towards motorcyclists, even learners. And I do not take the stand that motorcyclists are angels! I am well aware that there are some that could improve in their behaviour on the road as well.

Well said, Mr Hilton. I drive a car and a motorcycle and also ride a bicycle. The fact that I am still alive is because I keep a 360 degree lookout. It's a car culture here in Malta. No other vehicle is accepted on the road-anything else is an unwanted intrusion, taking up precious car space. Many people do not realize that one more motorbike or bicycle means one less car on the road.

I'm a motorcyclist. Drivers i. Malta do not indicate when overtaking.many times I am forced to take drastic action when I am indicating, overtaking a car. Half way up the car, the idiot decides, without looking, to overtake the car in front, forcing me on to the hard shoulder of the other side of the road. So now when overtaking I take a wide berth. Cyclist are generally safe drivers.

I have witnessed inconsiderate motorcyclists yesterday at Qormi Rd. Luqa who just for the sake of catching up with others in front overtake on the opposing lane.

What about inconsiderate car drivers turning or overtaking without watching out for other traffic (apart from cars, that is)? Let's face it, it's a car culture here in Malta. No other vehicle is accepted on the road-anything else is an unwanted intrusion, taking up precious car space. Some people (most?) do not realize that one more motorbike or bicycle means one less car on the road.

: ''another Toyota Vitz Involved... really make me wonder''
meaning?

Maybe she wanted to mean that there's a sort of fault i them. As a Vitz driver I must say I would not trade it for any other car myself so if that's the reason why she said what she said, I beg to differ.

Too many accidents have happened in the same stretch of a couple of meters, some thing should be done. Amongst others, crossing a continued line, should land you a heavy fine. Lives and limbs are never brought back.

Very true! On several occasions I have been faced with a car in the opposite direction overtaking the car in front - occupying half my lane!
I think it's common sense to look before you drive into another lane....at least, if I'm going to overtake that's what I do!

I have also witnessed alot of drivers overtaking in blind corners in that particular area, I think it's about time to send more police patroling that area
