Alternattiva Demokratika will be fielding candidates in all 13 electoral districts, AD chairman Michael Briguglio said yesterday as he launched the party’s electoral campaign.

Addressing a press conference in Sliema, Dr Briguglio, said: “With us one knows where one stands, and our representation in Parliament will ensure a responsible and consistent approach to the country’s challenges. Instead of political pique, AD represents consistency, responsibility and progressive politics.”

Dr Briguglio said AD will on Saturday approve “the most progressive manifesto” for the general election, which focuses on all policy areas, giving clear priority to social justice, civil rights, environmental justice and sustainable development.

AD will have nine candidates contesting the election, most of whom will be on more than one electoral district. In all but three districts – namely the eighth, ninth and 11th – the party will field one candidate.
