St Martin’s College, Swatar, recently held a number of activities to raise awareness about human rights issues around the globe.

Various guest speakers were invited to speak to students, including Commissioner for Children’s Rights Helen D’Amato, Stefan Schaa from the Malta Regional Development and Dialogue Foundation, Amy Camilleri Zahra from the National Commission of Persons with Disability, and representatives from the Jesuit Refugee Service.

SOS Malta, through its Same Difference project, organised a buffet of Eritrean couscous and fruit salad during a breaktime while two migrants from Liberia played drums.

SOS Malta also set up a stand on another of its projects, Kellimni, to inform students of the kellimni.com website and ways in which students can ask for advice online and discuss issues which might be troubling them.
