Hand in Hand (Malta), in conjunction with Counselling Solutions (UK), will be offering a two-day introductory course on art for practitioners who have little or no experience on the use of art as a therapeutic tool.
The course, which will combine theory, skills and experiential exercises, will be held on April 27 and 28 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The aim of the weekend is to give participants an under-standing of the theory and practice on art as a creative medium to be used with clients in therapy as a means of expression, which can reflect one’s own emotional landscape.
This training is ideal for professionals who work therapeutically with children, including psychologists, psychiatrists, play therapists, social workers, counsellors and other therapists.
Training will be delivered by Karen O’Neill from the UK and Jacqueline Abela DeGiovanni.
A 10 per cent early bird discount will be given on bookings before February 15. Places are limited.
