The tunnel between Malta and Gozo will be a priority of the PN government if studies show that it is feasible, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this morning.
He made his comments after meeting shop owners and shoppers in Victoria.
Dr Gonzi criticised Labour for squandering money, such as through its plans to build a power station which Malta did not need. The money he said, could be better used on projects the county needed, such as the tunnel.
Dr Gonzi said that Gozo would once again feature as one of the most important policy areas of the PN electoral programme, with more investment on the island particularly through tailor-made schemes which would include fiscal incentives for those who directly invested in the island..
