Two men, a woman and a baby were injured after a man lost control of his motorbike and hit a family walking by in St Paul’s Bay yesterday morning.

The man, a 23-year-old from Marsascala riding a Kawasaki Z 750, crashed into a wall in Għajn Tuffieħa Road and then into a Toyota Yaris being driven by a 38-year-old man from Mosta.

A 36-year-old woman was grievously injured and her baby suffered slight injuries. Also injured were a 32-year-old man from the same family and the motorcycle rider.

In another accident involving a child, a woman, 44, and a 12-year-old girl were hit by a car on the pedestrian crossing near Pavi in Qormi. They were not seriously injured.

A 33-year-old man and a woman of 82 were injured in another two incidents on a day marked by several traffic accidents.
