Public Broadcasting Services shall be asking the courts to reassess a decision by the Broadcasting Authority directing the station to have deputy leaders from both political parties on this evening’s Dissett.
The station said its executive board took this decision after the authority said on Wednesday that a recommendation it made to the station last Saturday was actually a directive.
PBS had said following the BA’s directive that it had already decided to take up the authority’s recommendation so its statement was hasty.
On Saturday, the authority recommended a debate between the PL and PN deputy leaders on today’s Dissett after the PN objected to Mr Grech appearing on Dissett alone. Labour said it had no problem with Dr Busuttil appearing alongside its representative.
