An inquisitive sheep may be curious about new technology but will not learn much from this broken computer monitor, which was dumped in its field in Mtaħleb.

I enjoy visiting this marvellous place during the winter season. What I don't understand is; why is the 'road' down beyond the chapel solemnly marked 'Private'? I mean, what harm can I cause if I am permitted to walk down this lovely, natural place? And then if it is really private, why did the government bother to install street lights?

My question would be, what are the odds of the photographer happening to pass by this area whilst the ewe happened to be exploring her new PC? Or was he waiting for the ewe to make her move for several hours?

Actually Mr Sultana I stopped to capture the sheep grazing which is becoming a rare sight on our islands. Several other people did so too and we had a lovely chat with the shepherd. Whilst doing so this sheep stopped next to the monitor and I clicked. Why are some people so negative! Land marked private otherwise I would have removed it myself.

The odds are very likely, A. Sultana, considering that there is more junk than sheep on the Maltese countryside.

sometimes a photographer just happens to pass over sights like this. What makes a good photographer is being able to catch that instant before it disappears. You don't need to wait hours for a good photo sometimes it just happens and you take the opportunity.

All the items mentioned have serial numbers and will have been registered when bought. Easy enough to find out who dumped them.

In theory you're right. In practice I'm not so sure.

I despise the disposal of garbage in public spaces but I cannot help thinking this image is great!

I agree fully.

Won't be so great when the sheep cuts itself on the broken glass.

Indeed Mr Tyrrell. That thought occurred to me too... However, I think sheep [like most animals] may be smarter than humans!!!!!

@Jimmy John M Vella. I'm sure you are right Jimmy but it doesn't explain how a vet friend of mine is continuously x-raying cows and finding that they have ingested barbed wire!

Why do people dump stuff when all they have to do is call the council to come and take it away for them?
Is it a need to leave their mark in a world they cannot properly cope with?

Not to mention you don't have to carry it - unless the item is large you can leave on your doorstep and go to work. If it is work they carry it for you from your front door.

and since they carried it anyway they could have carried it to a recycling facility....but that's the lack of common sense in this country
