They don't lack YESMEN and just like in Dante's Hell, all their doings or misdoings are paved with good intentions!

Thank you for reducing the price by €1. The price of a 12kg cylinder in April 2008 was €5.40, now it is €20. !?

@ C. Cassar : In Italy the average wage is €2000 on average, in Malta the average wage is €1200. Therefore before quoting gas prices abroad, one has to quote the average monthly wage.
Pensioners in Malta earning less than €800 per month and who need to heat their homes, will think twice before they use their gas heater this winter.

And why wont these new prices -or any prices -for LPG ever be shown by any of the distributors-as required by law?Check the MRA website for confirmation of this fact!(it also states that we simply should ask for a receipt of purchase if required.Yeah right- try and get one!)

I received my last water & electrical bill last April and I live in Gozo. Now a friend of mine was told to go and collect it from the Water Works Office in Victoria as every body is doing this. Is this lack of sending these bill a strategy by someone because election is round the corner?

@Joe Demicoli you are one, from a hundred. The last bill we received was last September so as per you I am due to receive the bill. But I have my doubts, because I have a bad experience from ARMS ltd. Last March I received 4 bills in a row that where of a big shock. And don't think that these bills where posted, it was when I opened my electronic portal that I knew that I had 4 unpaid bills.

It is good to be at a cheaper price, but it will be much better if the price decreases when gas is used more than usual. Last year I remember the opposite, the price increased when everyone was switching gas heaters.

An €1.10 decrease for a 12 kg gas cylinder is good. But let's not forget that in 4 and half years, the price of a 12 kg gas cylinder went up from €5.40 to €19.50. Suppose we have a competitive market in the gas sector so that there will be competition instead of Enemalta's monopoly. However we never saw a decrease in gas prices when competition was introduced.
Joseph Arpa

while taking note of a price reduction, why is it that a 12KG cylinder cost less than a 15kg cyclinder , kilo for kilo? although there is just a 0.025c differance it is custom for larger containers to be cheaper than smaller ones. like for instance fresh milk, coca cola and any other product one cares to imagine, surely the international LPG market did not recomend such pricing!!!

If Toppled GonziPN is elected again it will be 'deja' vu'. Dark clouds looming, increase in W & E bills, probably no more tax cuts (promised in 2008) and what have we.

It is always a decrease in price but nothing to boast about considering the hefty price increases we have had since the so called "liberalization" of this important commodity.
And to those who always involve politics: do you really believe that one will be motivated to vote for the present government because of a decrease in one euro and something? Only morons think that way

May I recommend reading Economics 101.
Perhaps then you'll be able to come out of your self imposed cocoon. The PN CANNOT pay off the debt. They even have to borrow to pay the interest on the debt. Try and face the fact that the PN is bankrupting Malta. But, alas, like all good Nationalists, what the PN bosses say is always right and must be repeated.
