The Yalta Summit of 1945 was recreated when three teams of students representing the UK, the US, and the Soviet Union held a two-hour simulation exercise on the University campus organised by the Malta International Relations Student Association.
The delegations raced against the clock to co-ordinate meetings, achieve a number of secret goals, which increased every 20 minutes, hold press conferences and fend off members of the media who hounded them in person and through persistent e-mails.
The event was very popular among the participants who valued the opportunity to get a taste of practising diplomacy and maximising team effort while working under pressure.
