• The Mission Fund office will be closed tomorrow. It will reopen on Wednesday.

• The mechanical crib at Jesus of Nazareth Institute in Żejtun will be open to the public until January 6. This is the 65th anniversary of the crib, which will be on display from 9.30am to noon and from 4 to 7pm. There will also be a bazaar in the adjacent hall at the same time.

• The Malta Tourism Authority is organising a cribs and art exhibition until next Sunday at the Auberge d’Italie, Merchants Street, Valletta.

• A day-long adoration is being held at the Archbishop’s Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, on Thursday. The aim of the adoration is to pray for vocations to the priestly and religious life. Mass is celebrated at 9.30am, followed by adoration during the rest of the day. At 6.30pm, the adoration proceeds with the participation of the seminarians. The celebration of Mass at 7.15pm concludes Thursday’s day of prayer. Individuals and groups are most welcome to attend.

• The administrative committee within Our Lady of the Lily Musical Society of Mqabba is holding its annual reception in honour of members within Lily Fireworks on Saturday from 7pm at the new premises.

The event will serve as thanksgiving towards all those who work hard to provide displays throughout the feast week in honour of Our Lady of the Lily. All members are encouraged to attend. More information at www.talgilju.com.

• The Lay Fraternity of Charles de Foucauld is organising a meeting next Sunday at the Seminary, Rabat, from 9.30am to 1pm. The programme consists of silent adoration, a talk by Joe Farrugia, the Archbishop’s Delegate for the Laity, about the conclusions of the Bishops’ Synod on The New Evangelisation and Mass. All are welcome.

• MCAST’s Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design and Interactive Media students are organising a day at the Institute of Art and Design in Mosta on January 15 in aid of L-Istrina.

• The Dominican Sisters of Naxxar are orginising a bazaar in aid of the restoration of the chapel next to their convent in Main Street, Naxxar. The bazaar will be held between January 27 and February 3, from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 4 to 6pm.
