The Labour Party leader and his functionaries are trying to make us believe that Anglu Farrugia was asked to resign following comments he made about a member of the judiciary.

People are not gullible and are still waiting for Joseph Muscat to come out with the truth. How can we believe that Farrugia was asked to resign for comments he made on December 16 when he was humiliated on December 14 by his party which sent Franco Debono, instead of him, to participate in a Xarabank debate?

Farrugia was a healthy point of reference for thousands of moderate Mosta Labourites. With him everyone could feel at ease. He was always loyal to the Labour Party and to Muscat. Yet he was a victim of backstabbing and betrayal. It seems some group is trying to tarnish his reputation to get rid of him. Is someone trying to take Farrugia’s place as a Labour MP in the 11th district? Is Muscat powerless against certain people in his own party?

Is no one safe within the Labour Party today?
