• The Għaqda Mużikali Viżitazzjoni of Għarb will be presenting an end-of-year concert at the Kempinski Hotel, San Lawrenz, today at 8pm. The band, under the baton of Mro George Apap, will perform popular Viennese music, including The Emperor Waltz, Invitation à la Valse, Roses from the South, Vienna Life, Ceremonial March, Estudiantina Waltz and the Radetzky March. The concert will also feature ballroom dancers. The event will give the kick-off to the band’s 10th anniversary celebrations. Entrance is free. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis. • Dr Seuss The Lorax will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm, while The Amazing Spiderman will be screened on Tuesday, New Year’s Day.

• The Nadur MUSEUM (male section) will be presenting a Christmas musical play, Stagħnew Meta Qassmu Ġidhom, by Mark Azzopardi, at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 7.30pm. Around 40 young actors will take part. Entrance is free.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead Pontifical concelebrated Masses at St George’s Basilica, Victoria, tomorrow at 5pm, and at the Cathedral in Victoria at 6.30pm; on Tuesday, the Solemnity of Our Lady, Mother of God, at St George’s Basilica, at 11am, and at the Cathedral at 6pm.

• The Gaulitanus Choir, in collaboration with the Gozo Cultural Office, will present a festive concert under the direction of Colin Attard at the Gozo Ministry’s Hall, Victoria, on Tuesday at 7.30pm. Entrance is free.

• The Dun Mikiel Attard Group will be holding a prayer meeting at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Ta’ Ħamet) church on Thursday at 6pm.

• The Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria will on Tuesday host a reception for Oratory volunteers at 8pm. On Thursday there will be a cultural outing for students and youths at 1pm, while on Friday there will be a meeting for Forms 4 and 5 students at 7.45pm, and Mass for 17+ students will be held at the chapel at 8.30pm. On Saturday there will be adoration of the Eucharist animated by married couples at the chapel at 7.30pm.

• The Gozitan Graduates Movement invites graduates and members of all professions in Gozo, including couples, for First Friday Mass on January 4 at St Augustine’s church, Victoria, at 8pm. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available before Mass.
