Two charged with damaging public property
A 19-year-old man from Floriana was remanded in custody and a 14-year-old from Msida was conditionally discharged for three months after the two pleaded guilty to causing more than €1,500 worth of damage to public property.
They also pleaded guilty to breaching the peace.
The 19-year-old, Niko Zammit, was also charged with breaching the conditions of a previous release, escaping custody and disobeying police orders.

The punishment has got to be severe, otherwise they`ll do it again and again.

Oh I guess that says it all, .. Public Property. Hmmmmm, .. what about our cars parked in Paceville?, It has come to fashion that drunks, kids or otherwise, walk all over parked automobiles, break mirrors, scratch, dent and slash tyres. Where is the Police?. Oh I guess, Private Property, has no value. Continually, the St Julian's Police Station, asks, '' Do You have Cameras?''. What a Joke.

Well said Mr Callus. And what's with all these suspended sentences that are given out. Make them pay or put them in jail.
