Man injured in traffic accident
A 54-year-old man from Naxxar was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Triq il-Marfa, Mellieha at 9.45pm yesterday.
The police said the accident happened when a 42-year-old man from Mellieha, who was driving a Seat Ibiza, lost control and crashed into a parked Opel Corsa.
The crash was followed by a collision with a Fiat Uno that was being driven by the injured man and that was coming from the opposite direction.
The drivers had to be taken out of their cars by Civil Protection Department personnel.
The driver of the Seat was not injured.
