Since there was nobody at Arriva to take my call, I would like to bring my umpteenth complaint to the attention of Arriva’s ‘customer care’ through The Times.

According to announcements made in the media (though there is no mention of this on Arriva’s site), Arriva are operating at certain times on Saturday during Christmas week. Yet last Saturday I had to wait for 30 minutes from around 7.15am at the Cikas bus stop in Żabbar for a bus to turn up.

This means that (according to the winter Saturday timetable on Arriva’s website) three scheduled trips were not carried out by buses 91, 93 and 94.

One hopes that Arriva’s new year resolution will be to finally pull up its socks and start delivering efficiently. What’s the use of having timetables when buses do not adhere to them? Saying that there are not enough buses (as one driver told us on one occasion) is no excuse.
