British shoppers out in force for Boxing Day sales

Shoppers fill the aisles in Selfridges on the morning of the Boxing Day sales in London yesterday. As in previous years, British retailers started sales online on Christmas Day, ahead of the clearances in stores from Boxing Day, but launched their online offers before Christmas, after delivery deadlines for the day have passed. »See story on pages 6 and 7.
