Young man injured in traffic accident
A 19-year-old man from Iklin was seriously injured this morning following a traffic accident in Sta Venera. He is not in a critical condition.
The police said the man was driving a Mercedes in Triq il-Ferrovija at 2.30am when he crashed with a parked Toyota.
He was helped out of his car by members of the Civil Protection Department and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

I wish the young man a speedy and full recovery, but we really need to take steps to prevent these parked cars from leaping out in front of early morning traffic.

Get well soon, and good luck for your future, one stumbling block is to be overcome it and then look forwards.
On a second note, this street is notoriously slippery with mist. Is there any chance of a simple recoating with a more adherent surface? And whilst I'm mentioning it, what adherance standards are considered to be sufficient /safe on Maltese Roads?

I reciprocate your wishes for this unfortunate young man and I am sorry that I dont know the answers to your questions.However,you appear to have reached an unfounded conclusion as to what ,or how, this incident occurred .Any other reasons as to how or why it occurred?

@ Mr phil sam - I guess D.A. Agius must have meant "dew", as you probably already guessed...
