Air Malta’s version of global hit Gangnam Style has gone viral on the social media with over 330,000 views on You Tube in just three days.

The public service announcement features an onboard dance tribute in a lighthearted attempt to discourage the use of inflight mobile phones.

The video, entitled PSA – Gangnam Style by Air Malta, has ranked 23rd on ‘Infectious Vids’, a popular video-streaming website.

Several passengers start to receive calls setting off Gangnam Style ringtones throughout the aircraft. Suddenly, four attractive cabin crew start dancing in the aisle to PSY’s song and the passengers start to join in too.

Air Malta Chief Commercial Officer Philip Saunders said: “We are amazed at the enormously positive reaction. It’s great that we have managed to communicate a serious message in an entertaining manner. This illustrates Air Malta’s sense of fun and we are particularly pleased that over 50 of our colleagues were featured in the video.”
