With heartfelt thanks

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Mission Fund for their generous donation of €1,500 towards our new mission in South Sudan.

South Sudan gained its independence just over a year ago after decades of civil war. We are three sisters who have been given the task of running this new mission. We will be serving in an area of about 25,000 returnees living in grass-roofed huts with-out access to any medical facilities. This is really providential to pioneer this challenging extraordinary adventure.

We will be staying in an area called Wau where we will canoe our way every day across the river to reach these people. Our charisma as medical missionaries of Mary is the healing love of God. We hope to start a primary healthcare programme soon.

I urge you to continue to send your used stamps and donations to the Mission Fund which has been of immense support to Maltese missionaries over the years. Without your support the Mission Fund will not be able to continue to help Maltese missionaries.
