Tourism Worker of the Year award

For the fifth consecutive year, the Gozo Tourism Association organised the annual Tourism Worker of the Year event.

This year, the award went to Joseph Tabone, 42, food and beverage manager at a leading restaurant in Gozo. The winner was officially announced by Anton Hili, chairman of the adjudicating board, in the presence of Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono, other distinguished guests and GTA members.

Mrs Debono presented the award to Mr Tabone. Those present were addressed by GTA chairman Paul Scicluna, Christine Vella, senior head, MTA Gozo Office, who read a message on behalf of MTA chief executive officer Josef Formosa Gauci, and Marcel Bonnici, department manager, Northern Region, ETC.
