Though still quite young, Maltese teen pop singer Stefan has already released several singles, namely Take it or Leave it, The Fittest Girl in History and Can’t Wait, all of which featured on his debut EP My Evolution (Vol.1) and collectively garnering a fair amount of local radio airplay.
His latest release, a tune by the name of Disco Lemonade, looks set to maintain his forward stride on the local pop scene, but more importantly, the song marks a fresh chapter in his career.
In fact, he considers the single to be a debut release of sorts because it marks a change in musical direction, albeit one still firmly rooted in the world of mainstream pop.
Disco Lemonade was written by Charlie Mason, Daniel Volpe and Thomas Lipp, the latter two also behind the Crush Boys team who produced the song. Mason has worked with some of the biggest names in the US pop scene, among them Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus and Sarah Connor.
Stefan first started to take part in music festivals when he was eight years old. He was a finalist in the Malta Junior Eurovision song contest in 2009, following which artist development agency Aiming4Fame took him under its wing.
Since then he has performed at various events, among them concerts featuring Ira Losco, The Cheeky Girls and at the Farsons Great Beer Festival.
The young singer was also part of the Joseph Calleja Choir that took part in the Maltese tenor’s acclaimed Fosos concerts.
