Air Malta tribute to PSY goes viral
An Air Malta public service announcement launched three days ago on Facebook has gone viral around the world with over 320,000 views.
The announcement features an onboard dance tribute to PSY’s global hit ‘Gangnam Style’ in a light-hearted attempt to discourage the use of mobile phones in-flight.
In Air Malta’s version, several passengers start to receive calls setting off
‘Gangnam Style’ ringtones throughout the aircraft.
Suddenly, four cabin crew start dancing in the aisle and passengers join in.
The captain enters the scene and restores order by reminding passengers to turn off all phones in flight.
The video, entitled ‘PSA - Gangnam Style by Air Malta’, has ranked 23rd
on Infectious vids, a popular video-streaming website.

I just love this.
It may not convince people to switch airlines, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

From the above photo it seems that the Gangnam Style leaves much to be desired. One can see that there are more vacant seats than seats with passengers! Perhaps it could be very worthwhile for Gonzi to send letters to KM staff that GangnamGonzi saved Air Malta and how worthwhile the million spent from our pockets to Davies & Co to hole the KM head office from 19m€ barracks!.

I am not replying about politics as I do not like politics at all. But on another note that was a montage and those passengers were Air Malta employees and NOT passengers :)

Can we for just the festive season forget pessimism and negativity? Seems that some people just live in gloom and doom all year round. You only have one life to live and with all the ups and downs we are still here. Happy Christmas and New year to all.

This ad is giving our airline a much needed boost. Just stop complaining and finding faults in all that is being done. Gonzi and his government saved Air Malta from oblivion and this opposed to many much larger european airlines which bit the dust.

The usual negative Partit Laburista thinking. It is not a surprise that your kind of people gravitate to it. It shows why expanding a sustainable market economy was always a problem for MLP. Il-Qamel i[ib il-Qamel jgib il-Malti.

Victor, if you can't see a bit of brilliant lateral thinking and for once some great Maltese marketing flair, you've probably only travelled as far as Gozo! Well done whoever came up with this idea at Air Malta marketing.

WOW Victor, you managed to turn a Gangnam style video into a political issue. An achievement you should be proud of.
