Another new football pitch, complete with dressing rooms and other amenities, was inaugurated last weekend by MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo. The ground, to be used by Division Three club Luqa St Andrew’s and their youth nursery, is located in the precincts of the St Vincent de Paul residence. Employees and residents at St Vincent de Paul will also benefit from the use of the new facility. In his speech, Darmanin Demajo alluded to the difficulties in identifying an open area in Luqa for the construction of a new ground. The MFA president said that it was thanks to the co-operation of Parliamentary Secretaries Mario Galea and Clyde Puli, and the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport that the dream of building a new ground at Luqa became a reality.
