Duchess of Cambridge makes first public appearance since leaving hospital

The Duchess of Cambridge has met sports stars in London at her first public appearance since being treated for severe morning sickness caused by pregnancy.

She attended the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year Awards in London yesterday. Backstage, she spoke with guests and sports stars, including Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis, who came runner-up in the poll as well as former footballer and TV presenter Gary Lineker and paralympian Martine Wright.

The prestigious prize was won by cyclist Bradley Wiggins, however all eyes were on the Duchess.
