Updated - Man falls four storeys
A 51-year-old man was critically injured this afternoon after falling a height of four storeys in Attard.
The incident happened at about 1.15 p.m. in a building in Mdina Road. The building was undergoing structural works.
The worker fell down a shaft.
The police, a medical team and rescuers of the Civil Protection Department were on site.
Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit is holding an inquiry.

I trust that this gentleman will recover quickly. Meanwhile the OHSA should really be doing much more to enforce safety at work. When are we going to stop tolerating mediocrity, which as in this case is leading to preventable anguish.
