CIARLÒ. On December 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, TESSIE, née Calleja, aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Carmel, her son Karl, her daughters Theresa, Marie and her husband Orazio Porto, and Gillian and her husband Pasquale Fortunato, her daughter-in-law Annamaria, her grandchildren Andrew, James, Tiziana, John, Carla and Louiseann, her brother and sisters, their spouses, nephews and nieces, her in-laws and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.15am for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GRECH. On December 12, at Pax et Bonum, Mosta, DORIS, née Pillow, widow of Gerald Paul, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved sons Geoffrey and Clifford, their wives Marcelle and Belinda, her grandsons Etienne and his wife Alexia, Gareth and his fiancée Michelle, and Matthew, her adorable great-grandson Sebastian, her brother Wilfred, her sisters Mary and Josephine and sister-in-law Tessie, Sheila Cutts, together with many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.45am for the chapel of the Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Franciscan nuns and all the staff-helpers for their love, respect, and understanding so generously provided at all times. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Poppy Appeal Fund
The Poppy Appeal Committee would like to thank and inform the general public that the funds collected during the Poppy Appeal 2012 amounted to €24,110.50. The money collected is kept in Malta to assist all ex-servicemen.
