High winds test pilots' skills
Planes struggled to land in Bilbao yesterday as pilots fought against high winds.
The dramatic gusts forced the diversion of two planes coming from Madrid and Valencia to Santander.
The winds caused other planes to sway as they attempted to land in Bilbao's Loiu airport.
Although Spain airport operator AENA said that no flights scheduled to depart from Bilbao were cancelled, the extreme winds tested the skills of the pilots trying to take off.
Spanish carrier Iberia said that one of their planes had to return to Madrid's Barajas airport where the company relocated the passengers in a bigger Airbus 321.

Scary stuff- I was on a flight to Manchester once when the pilot had a real job to land in cross winds. Not for the faint hearted.
