Judge Ray Pace resigns
Judge Raymond Pace has resigned.

The Department of Information said that the judge had called on President Abela to personally submit his resignation, saying his position as a judge was no longer tenable, independently of the outcome of the court proceedings he is undergoing.
Judge Pace is currently being held in custody after having been arraigned on Thursday and accused of bribery and trading in influence. However the Magistrates' Court allowed him to call on the President at San Anton.
The prime minister this morning presented an impeachment motion against Judge Pace but this will now be dropped.

The honourable way out for an allegedly dishonourable gentleman? It will be a pity that he has been forced to resign if subsequent enquiries prove otherwise and, as is always the case, innocent until proven guilty.

If he did not resign on his own, he would have had to go through the wringer and that would hurt him and his family more. I always said that it takes a man to resign and Judge Pace knew that. But remember that a man is deemed innocent until proven guilty. Only time will tell.

jekk johrog liberat ghandu jerga jiehu postu. pero il-gudikatura tilfet hafna mill-veru ftit reputazzjoni tajba li kellha jekk qatt kellha. il-parlament ftit jista' jaghmel milli jnehhi imhallef ghax dejjem tidhol il-politika. ghall-anqas hekk nara jien.

Hi, tghid mhux hekk, jew?
Mela hawn qed nilghabu xi partita futbol?
Ir-reputazzjoni tal-gugikatura rebhet mhux tilfet ghax kontinwament tissaffa meta jinqala xi ghawg. Issa baqa tnejn li l- CAJ ghandha tiddikjara x'inhi l-pozizzjoni taghha lejhom. Wiehed imhallef u ohra magistrat.
Il-politka tiddahhal bhal ma ddahhlet meta mhallef kien imhallas ghal snin shah minghajr ma ta sold xoghol!
