The Maritime sector could further expand to offer more and better jobs, Labour leader Joseph Muscat said this morning.

He was speaking during a visit to Medserv this morning.

He said that in line with the development of the sector, more trades related to the maritime field should be created since these rates were not being developed since the Shipyards had closed down.

MCAST, he said, should be prepared to train students wanting to take up this field.

Dr Muscat said that the Mediterranean region should have an important commercial and diplomatic role and congratulated Medserv for tis activity in Libya, even during a difficult period.
