€415,000 raised in Labour marathon

The Labour Party raised almost €415,000 yesterday in a fund-raising marathon.

The televised marathon was held in preparation for the electoral campaign.

It consisted of a wide-ranging entertainment programme at Labour headquarters during which party supporters were asked to phone-in their donations.

Donations were also made by candidates and party committees.

The PN will hold its own fund-raiser on Sunday.
