Over the last month I have had the good fortune to enjoy four flights with Air Malta – three of which were on board aircraft sporting the striking new colours. Likewise, the cabin crew look ultra smart in their new uniforms.

On each flight I was seated comfortably, without having to rush to “bag” a place. I was greeted with a friendly smile by the all-Maltese cabin staff; served a very edible meal, with the plane taking off and arriving safely on time.

My fares for these flights were very comparable with those being charged by the so-called “no frills” carriers.

Yes, if you choose wisely, you can get some good deals on fares with our national carrier, Air Malta.

I actually enjoyed my flight experience, which has never been the case in the “cattle class” of Ryanair!
