As part of its ongoing commitment to develop handball, the Malta Handball Association, in collaboration with the International Handball Federation (IHF) is organising a referees’ seminar from December 12-17.

IHF instructor Terje Anthonsen has been nominated by the international federation to conduct this seminar.

Anthonsen, from Norway, refereed a total of 388 matches between 1975 and 1994, including the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics men’s final between Germany and Yugoslavia, six World Championships finals and 11 European Cup finals.

Since 1994, Anthonsen has been acting as a delegate for both the EHF and IHF. He was also vice-president of the Norwegian handball federation for six years.
