Businesses claim roadworks blocked access to properties
Nineteen businesses in Burmarrad Road, limits of Naxxar, have filed a judicial protest against Transport Malta claiming they cannot get to their properties because of the disastrous way the road had been left in.
The companies are AMC Marketing Limited, Intervisions Limited, Keramit Bathroom Centre, Dimech Enterprises Limited, Park Towers Supermarket, The Catering Centre Limited, Hompesch Trading Company Limited, Good Earth Distributors Limited, Tarcisio Galea Construction Limited, U-Store Limited, Retail Marketing Limited, RA & Sons Limited, Prickly Pear Catering Limited, AX Construction Limited, Car Parts Limited, Apple Core Foods Limited, Construction and Demolition Waste Limited, Brown and Rye Catering limited, Y & P Marketing Limited, and include business owners Nicola Russo and James Armeni.
They claimed in their protest that works started on September 1 and for the past three weeks nothing was done on the site.
They demanded that the works are completed and requested compensation for the damages.
Lawyer Kris Borg singed the protest.

How long do we have to wait to see a new CEO for TM, someone who preferable knows what he or she is doing and with more qualification that just a PN membership card! The number of unwarranted controversies created by the present CEO would shame any one with an iota of leadership experience.

Transport Malta has apparently failed yet again.
Who will now shoulder political responsibility? Perhaps Austin Gatt will do so - now is as good a time as any for the Minister to resign! It would possibly solve our parliamentary clogging....which has been there for the last six months or so!
And then there's the Budget!
