You may not find too many cliched Christmas-related stories in the December issue of Pink, out with The Times tomorrow, but the women’s magazine is packed with features that should get you thinking and see you through your free time during the upcoming holidays on the way to the New Year.

Read about those women who do not only give at Christmas but whose dedication to others, in this case the Special Olympics athletes with learning difficulties, is year round and volunteering runs in their veins.

Pink’s focus zooms in on child brides, interviewing a woman in the UK who was married to a man she had never met at the tender age of 13.

She has grown up and moved away, dedicating herself to fight forced marriages and protect helpless girls from the abuse their own parents make them undergo in the name of culture.

As always, fashion takes centre stage, with an interview with UK designer Jenny Packham about her exquisite bridal collections and why she has dressed so may stars – moving gracefully from the red to the white carpet.

Pink is published by Allied Newspapers Ltd, printed by Progress Press and produced by Mediamaker.
